Step 1: Choose your lights
Select the Plug & Go lights that will create the lighting effects you want to achieve and in a finish that will complement your garden.
Step 2: Choose your cable(s)
- Measure the cable distance(s) you need.
- Select from our Plug & Go cable set options (6m, 10m or 16m).
- There are also 2m and 20m extension leads, and a 3-way cable extension.
- The longest cable length you can have from one LED driver is 50m.
Step 3: Choose your LED driver(s)
- Add together the wattages of all the Plug & Go lights you will connect to each cable. Select one of our two Plug & Go LED drivers to power the cable.
- Remember not to exceed the driver's minimum/maximum wattage loading:
- 11 watt driver: min 3 watts, max 9 watts
- 28 watt driver: min 6 watts, max 25 watts
Step 4: Connect to the mains
- Decide where to place your LED driver/drivers in the garden.
- If you house them in an IP rated wall box on an exterior wall, we advise using a qualified electrician to make the connection to your 240 volt electricity supply.
- If you place your LED driver/drivers in a dry shed, garage or greenhouse where there's a mains supply, you can make the connection with a standard 3-pin plug.
Step 5: Now ‘Plug & Go’
- Lay your Plug & Go cable(s) around the garden - it doesn't need to be buried.
- Now connect each Plug & Go garden light to the cable by removing the Contuinuity Plug and plugging in the light with the unique single pin plug.
The Garden Zone Plug & Go Cable Socket is for making a watertight connection between the 240 volt mains cable and your Plug & Go LED driver. The Cable Socket is IP68 rated, so it can be safely placed outside with no rain protection.
