Cree has now added new 3 watt GU10 LEDs to its class-leading range of high-performance 'retro' LED lamps. These GU10 LEDs produce a light output approximately equal to a standard 25 watt GU10 halogen lamp, but only consume an environmentally-responsible 3 watts of electricity. They offer a choice of two light colours - Cool White (6000k) and Warm White (3000k) - and a beam angle of 30°. They also generate virtually no heat, a real advantage in public spaces like pub, restaurant and hotel gardens, or for private gardens where children might play at night. And they come with all the reassurance of the Cree name, widely regarded as a world leader for high quality, high performance LEDs.

The new Cree 3 Watt GU10 LEDs fit all our Hunza® GU10 wall-mounted outdoor spotlights - the Wall Spot GU10, Twin Wall Spot GU10, Wall Down Light GU10 and Pillar Light GU10. These are all 240 volt outside light fittings, so no transformer or driver is required, making them ideal for replacing existing exterior wall lights connected to the mains electricity supply.

The initial purchase price of these Cree 3 Watt GU10 LEDs is considerably more than the cost of GU10 halogen lamps, but their very low running costs, combined with their estimated lamp life of 50,000 hours (compared with 3,000 hours for a good quality halogen GU10 lamp), mean they will pay for themselves many times over during their lifetime.
