Encouraged by the low-heat and high light output of the new generation Cree 3 watt GU10 LEDs, Hunza® has launched a GU10 version of the E-Light specifically to take advantage of these new LEDs.

The new Hunza E-Light GU10 LED is a 240 volt fitting, so it connects directly to the mains electricity without the need for a transformer or driver. It uses a tiny 3 watts of electricity, but produces a light output approximately equivalent to a standard 25 watt GU10 halogen lamp. It also has none of the high operating temperature problems associated with halogen GU10 lamps. And it gives you a choice of two light colours: Warm White (3000k) and Cool White (6000k) – Warm White is the closest match to halogen.

Like other versions of the E-Light, the E-Light GU10 LED is an outdoor light for recessing into eaves, soffits, porch ceilings, doorway or garden canopies. However, its IPX5 rating makes it equally suitable for recessing into indoor ceilings in high humidity areas such as kitchens or bathrooms. It is available in a choice of 316 stainless steel, solid copper or aluminium powder coated in a choice of 10 UV-stable colours.

Whether you use the E-Light GU10 LED indoors or outside in the garden, the very low running costs and extremely long estimated lamp life of 50,000 hours (compared with 3,000 hours for a good quality halogen GU10 lamp) make the Cree GU10 LED an exceptionally economical and environmentally responsible light source choice.
